Shirdi Saibaba temple was built in the year 1943 and the Baba's black granite idol (Salagrama) was installed in the year 1944. This was the world's first Sai's idol installed 10 years even before the idol that was installed in Shirdi.
The temple was built under the "Madanapalle Hindu Sangam Trust" propety which was established in the year 1918 when Saibaba was alive. Trust believes that it was a pre blessed act of Baba. The trust site of 60 cents was purchased by Sri Boyapati Ramaiah Naidu prominently called by the name Bheldari Ramanna in the year 1918 March and the property was registerd in the name of six elderly persons from different sections of the community in Madanapalle village. Since then many activities of hindu community such as "GANGA JATHARA", "HARI KATHALU", "PANDARI BHAJANALU" and "CULTURAL DRAMAS" e.t.c. are being celebrated. The temple was constructed in the year 1943 and a new trust was formed under the chairmanship of Sri Ratakonda Gopal Naidu along with two others Sri Boyapati Gopal Naidu and Chalamannagari Gopalu. Sri Ratakonda Gopal Naidu led the trust from 1943 to 1987 December till his demise.
The trust also provides humanitarian and compassionate services to the poor and needy through Education, Medical assistance and Mass Marriages.
